What water pressure should I expect?
The utility seeks to provide water pressure between 35 and 100 psi. If you want higher pressure than what you're receiving, you can install a booster pump at your expense.
The utility seeks to provide water at a minimum average pressure of 35 pounds per square inch (psi) and a maximum of 100 psi.
If you want higher water pressure
If you want more water pressure than what the utility is currently providing to your property, you can install a booster pump at your expense. A booster pump increases water pressure to your desired level. You must install and maintain this equipment within your plumbing system.
If you’re concerned about high water pressure
If your pressure is above 80 psi or you’re concerned about high pressure damaging your plumbing, you may want to install a pressure reducing valve at your expense. A pressure reducing valve protects your plumbing and fixtures from damage caused by high pressure. You must install and maintain this equipment within your plumbing system.
Utility liability
The utility is not liable for damages caused by your failure to install or maintain booster or pressure reducing equipment.
