What if I'm not satisfied with the utility's response to my complaint?
You can file a complaint with the Regulatory Commission of Alaska (RCA) within 20 working days of the postmark date of the utility's written response.
If you are not satisfied with the utility’s response to your complaint, you can escalate to the Regulatory Commission of Alaska (RCA).
The escalation process
- If unsatisfied with verbal complaint response: File a written complaint with the utility, addressed to the general manager
- If unsatisfied with written complaint response: File a complaint with the RCA
Filing deadline
You must file a complaint with the RCA within 20 working days of the postmark date of the utility’s written response.
If you do not file within 20 working days, the utility will deem the complaint to have been resolved to your satisfaction.
Working days are Monday through Friday, excluding weekends and national holidays.
