If you replace a service connection or if it becomes unusable due to property re-platting, you must disconnect it at the main at your expense with a utility representative witnessing.

Your responsibilities
- Disconnect the old connection at the main (not just at the property line)
- Pay all costs for the disconnection work
- Schedule the disconnection with the utility in advance
- Have a utility representative witness the disconnection
- The disconnection must be done at no cost to the utility
Scheduling and inspection
You must schedule the disconnection at least 24 hours in advance, excluding Saturdays, Sundays, holidays, and hours between 4:00pm and 8:30am. A utility representative must be present to witness the disconnection.
