How much does a service connection inspection cost?
Inspections for service connections up to 2 inches cost $122 per inspection. Larger connections require a $300 deposit per inspection.
Service connections and extensions must be inspected by the utility before backfilling.
Inspection fees
- 3/4" up to 2" connections: $122 per inspection
- Larger than 2": $300 deposit per inspection
When inspections are required
- New service connections or extensions
- Repairs to connections or extensions
- Modifications to connections or extensions
- Abandonment of connections or extensions
The utility charges a separate inspection fee for each service connection and each service extension.
Re-inspections
If your work fails inspection, you must pay a full inspection fee ($122) or actual cost to the utility (whichever is greater) for each re-inspection.
Scheduling
You must schedule inspections at least 24 hours in advance, excluding Saturdays, Sundays, holidays, and hours between 4:00pm and 8:30am. The utility will complete the inspection within 3 working days.
If you’re not present
If you or your representative are not present at the scheduled time, you must pay a return visit charge.
