What happens when a payment is declined

• You will be charged the $27 returned payment fee
• Your account may be subject to normal credit collection procedures
• The declined payment does not prevent your account from becoming delinquent
• Multiple declined payments may result in the utility denying you the privilege of paying by automatic bank draft or check

Your responsibility for automatic bank drafts

If you use automatic bank drafts, you must notify the utility of any changes in your account information. If you don’t notify the utility of changes, the utility may cancel this payment option.
