What is the monthly flat rate for commercial service?

For commercial customers with flat rate (non-metered) service, the standard monthly charge is $87.04. This rate applies to businesses and commercial properties.

• Monthly Commercial Flat Rate: $87.04
• Regulatory Cost Charge: 0.569% of billing amount (see What is the Regulatory Cost Charge?)

What qualifies as commercial: Commercial water service is defined as water service used primarily for business purposes and not residential purposes. This includes:

• Retail stores
• Office buildings
• Restaurants
• Warehouses
• Other business operations

Multiple commercial units: If you have multiple commercial units served by a single connection, the rate is multiplied by the number of units.

Mixed-use properties: If your structure contains both commercial and residential units served by a single connection, you’ll be charged a combined rate:

• Commercial rate × number of commercial units
• PLUS residential rate × number of dwelling units

When metered rates may apply: The utility may require metered service for commercial properties if the flat rate is determined to be inequitable based on water usage. New commercial structures typically require meters.
