How much notice do I need to give to stop my water service?

You must provide at least 5 business days written notice before the date you want service stopped.
If you’re moving or want to stop water service, you must give the utility written notice.
Notice requirements
- At least 5 business days before you want service stopped
- Must be in writing (phone calls don’t count)
- Must include the date you want service discontinued
What are business days?
Business days are Monday through Friday, not including holidays or weekends.
What happens if I don’t give notice?
You’ll be charged for water service at the property until the utility receives your written notice, even if you’ve already moved out.
