How long does the utility have to respond to my complaint?

The utility must respond within 10 working days to both verbal and written complaints.


Verbal complaints: The utility will investigate and respond to you verbally within 10 working days.

Written complaints: The utility will respond to your written complaint in writing within 10 working days.

If you’re not satisfied with the written response: You can file a complaint with the Regulatory Commission of Alaska (RCA) within 20 working days of the postmark date of the utility’s written response. If you don’t file within 20 working days, the utility considers your complaint resolved.
