How am I billed if I have multiple units on one connection?
If you have multiple units on one connection, the rate (residential or commercial) is multiplied by the number of units you have.
When multiple dwelling units or commercial units are served from a single service connection, the applicable rate (residential or commercial) will be multiplied by the number of dwelling or commercial units and billed to you.
Example: If you have a duplex (2 dwelling units) on one connection and the residential flat rate is $76.94, your monthly charge will be $76.94 × 2 = $153.88.
Mixed-use buildings: If your building has both commercial and residential units on a single connection, you’ll be charged a combined rate. The commercial rate is multiplied by the number of commercial units, and the residential rate is multiplied by the number of dwelling units, then both amounts are added together.
Billing service charges: These are charged per account, not per unit (Section W-008-E).
