Can I provide water to my neighbor from my connection?
No. If you have unmetered (flat rate) service, you cannot provide water to anyone else, with or without charge, for any use other than what's intended for your property.
No customer may provide water supplied by the utility from an un-metered service connection, with or without charge, for any use other than that implicitly intended for the customer.
What this means:
- You cannot share water with neighbors
- You cannot sell or provide water to adjacent properties
- You cannot allow others to connect to your service connection
Multi-unit properties: If you own a multi-unit property, you can serve your own units from one connection, but you will be billed per the number of units. You cannot serve units you don’t own or neighboring properties.
If your neighbor needs water service, they should contact the utility at (907) 222-4084 to apply for their own service connection.
