Settlers Bay Scheduled Water System Flushing COMPLETED

On Wednesday September 16, 2026 & Thursday September 17, 2026, between the hours of 8:00 am and 4:30 pm, the Utility will be performing water main line flushing to remove sediments that have built up over the year.

During this time, there may be some intermittent disruption of service, but we don’t expect any outages. There may also be some sediment stirred up in your service line. Please refrain from running warm water (Shower, Dishes, Laundry, etc.) as this may cause the stirred sediment to plug up your hot water heater or stain clothing. Once the flushing is complete, if your water is discolored coming from the tap, please turn on your outside spigot and let it run until the water runs clear. If you do not have a spigot, please run the COLD water in your bathtub until the water runs clear.

Because the sediment is already in the water mains that are routinely tested for contamination, there are no health risks or health effects associated with this flushing activity.

Water flushing is complete! If you have cloudy water, flush with cold water in your bathtub or from an outside spigot for 5-10 minutes until your water runs clear.
